Brown hydrogen is created from
[A] Electrolysis
[B] Lignite
[C] Nuclear reaction
[D] Natural gas
Brown hydrogen
- Brown hydrogen is produced using coal gasification process.
- Lignite (brown coal) is used in the hydrogen-making process
- In coal gasification, coal is converted from its solid state into a gas. The gasification process breaks down coal into its chemical constituents, which includes methane gas.
- Coal is exposed to oxygen and hot steam under high pressure and temperatures.
- Using black coal – Black hydrogen
- Using Brown coal [ Lignite ] – Brown hydrogen
